Sheila qualified originally as a Painter and Potter and taught Art, specialising in pottery, in secondary and adult education for 10 years. She then explored her interest in enamelling and jewellery design and making. She began selling her enamelled pieces at Craft Fairs in the mid 1970’s and then later her silver and gold designs.
As her family grew older, Sheila extended the number of Craft Shows she attended and ventured as far afield as Scotland and the Channel Islands. She also began to sell through shops and galleries.
Sheila was a full member of the Surrey Guild of Craftsmen for 25 years until moving to Somerset in 2002 when she was elected as a member of the Somerset Guild.
