Award winning jewellery designer Julia Thompson uses traditional hand fabrication, lost wax casting and acid etching techniques to create bespoke pieces of precious metal art jewellery. Her unique collections explore familiar tales of superstition and folklore whilst reflecting a romantic, mysterious bygone age.
Semi-precious, ethical lab-grown gemstones, quartz and pearl are an integral part of Julia’s work, along with touches of 22ct yellow gold, a satin brushed patina and oxidised antique finish.
Julia trained at Wimbledon School of Art in London, Plymouth University and in Mexico before her silver apprenticeship in Langport. She teaches her skills from her spacious studio workshop in South Petherton, offering private classes and bespoke wedding ring courses for those who want to make their own.
