I have been making jewellery for many years, initially learning techniques on short courses, and in 1997, on an Applied Arts Course at Bristol College of Art and Design. There I started to use enamels.
I have always enjoyed the scale of jewellery and its technical demands but I love colour, with its emotive impact; and the range and vibrancy of enamels proved the perfect medium to bring colour to my work.
Sources of inspiration include the beauty and fragility of the natural world, folklore and tales. I run community education courses in jewellery and enamelling, and I also teach privately in my own workshop.
