Barbara Roll

Glass Blowing

Barbara’s blown glass pieces are made using the ancient process of Incalmo, constructing a vessel by fusing two or more blown glass elements in the hot glass studio. The neck is then pulled into its final resting place, creating non-functional vessels. Barbara enjoys working with a wide range of colours. The vibrant colours she has used in the Orange and Purple pieces are inspired by dramatic sunsets in rural Somerset.

She is a member of the Contemporary Glass Society.
