My background is in joinery and kitchen fitting, I have always loved working with wood especially with hand tools and in 2009 I enrolled on the furniture design and making course at Bridgwater College. I studied under two renowned furniture makers, Jessica Horder and Steven Hopper, after completing the four year course I qualified to City & Guilds level 3 gaining two distinctions.
In 2013 after completing their selection process I was accepted as a full craft member to The Somerset Guild of Craftsmen. I won the Guilds first Furniture Award in 2012 awarded by Tony Portus of Cato Design and the Guilds Best of the Best competition in 2013 awarded by Joanna Foster CBE chair of the Crafts Council and President of the Oxfordshire Craft Guild.
I make furniture to commission and some speculative pieces using solid wood and fine veneers, I use traditional and modern cabinet making techniques to produce that truly bespoke item, my aim is to produce work of the highest standard.
