With as many as sixty members exhibiting work at any one time, the range of skills displayed in the Guild's gallery is very diverse.   Many makers use traditional techniques to create contemporary work ranging from pottery and ceramics, glass, metalwork and wood through to furniture and textiles.  Most makers are happy to accept commissions.   Alongside our own members' work is a changing programme of exhibitions by guest craftsmen and designers.

The town of Somerton, reputed to be the capital of ancient Wessex and one of the principle residences of the Saxon Kings, has a long history ranging back over 1000 years.  Today its 17th and 18th century streets, beautiful golden hamstone church, Buttercross and Market Square are complemented by a growing range of antique and other distinctive shops.
